For hundreds of years people have been smoking cigarettes after the tobacco plant was discovered.
Smoking used to be classed as a high class activity and it used to be a status symbol depending on what brand of cigarettes they smoked. In the 1960’s smoking was at its peak with bars and all public places allowing smoking anywhere. It wasn’t until the 1980’s people researched the damage smoking was doing to people. People now knew that smoking was linked to cancer, heart disease and various other health problems.

It wasn’t until 2003 a Chinese scientist who smoked decided he’d try to create a device which allowed users to get their nicotine hit without any of the nasty chemicals that are in tobacco. The Chinese market took off immediately and they were being sold by the thousands, in 2007 an American company brought the idea and put it into production across the pond. Americans were loving it too, they were thinking it was a great idea to use these devices to stop them from smoking cigarettes. In 2009 certain states in the US started to ban e-cigarettes as the temperature they operate at had been proven to cause fires and hurt people. After this was disproven and shown that these devices are only dangerous if people buy cheap copies off the internet.

Nowadays people aren’t using E-Cigarettes to just quit smoking, there’s a whole new generation of ‘Vapers’ which use their E-Cigarettes straight away without even smoking in the past. They do this because how much they can customise their device and choose new parts and different flavours of juice. They are benefitting from the E-Cigarettes technology and they’re not damaging their body due to there being no nasty chemicals.

Tanks:
The tank is the part of the e-cigarette that screws on to the battery. This is the place that you will put the e-juice to vape on it. Inside the tank, there are holes that will let the juice drip onto a coil with a wick in it which will then be heated up that will turn the juice in to vapour. After a couple of weeks, the wick and he coil will get burned out which is when it is time to go to the shop and buy a new one.
RTA’s:
RTA stands for rebuildable tank atomiser, this is similar to the tank by the fact that it stores juice that will then be funnelled in to a coil. But RTA’s are different because instead of buying a new coil every time you need to replace it, you can build yourself a new one. You can do his by wrapping kenthol wire around a screwdriver and threading organic cotton through the middle. Then you can install it into the device by slotting the wire through the holes in the RTA.
RDA’s:
RDA stands for rebuildable dripping atomiser. RDA’s are quite similar to RTA’s due to the fact that you have to rebuild the coils. The difference between the two is that RDA’s do not have a tank to store the e-juice in. this means every time you want to take a vape, you have to open the device and drip e-juice on to the cotton in the coil. This process is called “dripping” which is where the D in RDA comes from. People that use RDA’s an RTA’s often vape on higher wattages because they can build their own coils to cope with such heat.

Hardware

E-cigs come in all shapes and sizes ranging from cigarette looking devices like the Vapor Titan and the Volt, to larger more powerful devices like the ProVari The MVP V2 and the VaporShark DNA.
These larger devices use a bigger battery, and a bit more care and know-how regarding their operation. They also look nothing like a cigarette, which as you will find, the more your device looks like a cigarette, the less performance and satisfaction you will get out of it.
I feel like a that one of the best place's to start is with a device called the Ego, it’s a more compact size, but still offers a good battery life.  There are many variations of the Ego battery as well.  A few that I have found that work well,  are the EgoTwist, there are a few variants of the ego twist such as the ego twist-c and the iTaste VV V3.  When you pair those batteries with the simple to use EVOD tank or Aspire Nautilus Mini and you will be vaping in no time.  Make sure you get a charger and some liquid as well.

Variable Wattage/Voltage

Wattage and voltage refers to the heat given to the coil when the fire button is pressed
Most modern Batteries and mods are variable wattage and the older type of batteries used variable wattage.
The higher the wattage/voltage, the more heat is sent to the coil therefore, the more vapour
There are lots of designs companies have come up with to change the wattage/voltage. Older batteries often had a spinner type which is like a dial which you turn to change the voltage. An example of this is a vision spinner 2. Newer types use an LED screen to display the Wattage and have buttons that change the settings up and down. An example of this is the MVP series.

What is Vaping?

Ecigs (E-cigarettes)/ Vaping is intended for current mature smokers , that wish to continue enjoying their nicotine habit at a reduced risk.
Vaping utilizes a Propylene Glycol or Vegetable Glycerin based liquid, mixed with small amounts of nicotine and food grade flavoring that then get vaporized in a small battery powered atomizer, Simulating the experience of smoking. The vapor created is inhaled and exhaled much like cigarette smoke as shown by the term “VAPING” as opposed to “SMOKING”
Keep in mind that vaping and electronic cigarettes are not designed to be 100% safe.  They are tobacco harm reduction.  As I said above, they are designed for a mature person
to continue enjoying nicotine at a reduced harm.
